Ever felt a speaker vibrate when music plays? Sound is vibration traveling through a material, like air or water. A voice, a song, or an instrument can set that movement in motion.

We transfer sound vibrations into water, making its surface move. This is the idea behind cymatics: making the effects of sound visible. For Galaxy Frog, the starting point might be a live performance, a team’s chant, or a community singing together.

As the water vibrates, ripples meet and interact. Under the right conditions, they form repeating shapes and striking symmetry. Changing the sound can change what you see; the water and container also help shape the result.

Those intricate forms are physical patterns in moving water. We use their shapes, textures, and movement as the starting point for our artwork—a moment of sound translated into something you can see.

The water pattern is the beginning of the design. Through color, composition, and digital artwork, we develop cymatic forms into prints for clothing—from a focused graphic to a pattern that flows across an entire shirt.
